ADVANCED ROPECLIMBING TECHNOLOGY
Climbing trees is fun! There is hardly an adult who would not remember how attractive trees were for him or her as a child. This intuitive climbing and the pleasure found in moving throught manifold and naturally grown structures, or even more appropriate, the sheer joy of moving in a tree stems probably from a deeply rooted human inclination towards tree climbing. Although one has to admit, that man is not exactly a specialized tree climber by nature. Clambering up large trees with sweeping branches without auxilliary devices costs great effort and poses quite a risk, while moving dynamically through the tree crown is almost impossible.
But man´s ingenuity in making and using complex tools has made it possible for us to enter the fascinating world of large trees. The use of the rope not only as belay device against falls but also actively as climbing aid coined the term “rope climbing”. The double rope climbing technique (DDRT), which has established itself in tree care and in the meantime also in recreational tree climbing, has become a passion with me. Tree crowns offer a unique and thrillingly alive action world with a wide variety of movement patterns being as various as demanding. My efforts to make climbing and working on the rope easier, safer and more dynamic by developing and manufacturing new special gear has matured into a profession in the course of the years.
ART - Advanced Ropeclimbing Technology - Tree Climbing Gear
The rope climbing technique (DDRT) has gained its firm place in professional tree care as a defined work process. Efficiency and safety in professional tree climbing has improved increasingly over the years and has benefited in particular from making available innovative equipment, what in turn contributes to a competent and skilled tree care. More and more climbers at home and abroad put trust in the special gear and the climbing concept of ART (the letters stand for: Advanced Ropeclimbing Technology). This special gear makes possible important and particularly efficient motions on the rope and safeguards against energy robbing strain peaks and fatigue from a permanently high physical effort.
As developer, manufacturer and as user I have always risen to the demand of keeping safety and performance at a well-balanced high level. In the fields “working and climbing on the rope“, ART offers a whole collection of highly modern, partly patented special gear as well as extensive consulting, demonstration and training. The know-how and the experience from 12 years professional DDRT in tree care and a just as intensive as continuous development work since 1995 are my foundation for the ART trademark: high standards, conviction and passion are my motivation to meet new challenges.
